Sip, Spin & Smile — GAPSA Hot Cocoa Day

Take a break from the semester hustle and join GAPSA SciTech for a cozy Hot Cocoa Event on Wednesday, November 12 in the Life Sciences Building Lobby! Treat yourself to a warm cup of cocoa, relax with fellow graduate students, and enjoy a fun study break before finals season kicks in. Want to know who’s representing you this year or have ideas to improve grad life? Stop by to chat with GAPSA in a relaxed, welcoming space while you Spin the Wheel for prizes —from GAPSA goodies to the cutest emotional support animal stickers!

CHSS-GAPSA Graduate Student Coffee Break

Take a break with CHSS and GAPSA! Join fellow graduate students and faculty for conversations over free coffee and snacks on Tuesday, October 28. Drop by the Horizon Hall 6th-floor kitchen anytime between 9 AM – 4 PM to connect and de-stress in a welcoming space, co-hosted by the College of Humanities and Social Sciences and the Graduate and Professional Student Association. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions and speak with Dr. Devon Johnson, Interim Associate Dean of Graduate Academic Affairs, between 11 AM and 12 PM.

Fairfax Town Hall

Want to know who’s representing you this year or have ideas to improve grad life? Join us for the GAPSA’s Fairfax Town Hall- a relaxed, open forum where you can connect with your GAPSA representatives and university leadership. Whether you’re curious about funding, campus resources, housing, or just want to share feedback, this is your space to speak up and be heard. No speeches, no pressure—just good conversation, open Q&A, and a chance to build community across graduate and professional programs. Lunch and refreshments provided—stop by for a few minutes or stay the whole time! We look forward to seeing you!

This isn’t just about free coffee (though, yes, it’s FREE) or donuts (with sprinkles, obviously) — it’s about community.
