Graduate and Professional Student Association

Initiatives

GAPSA has several exciting initiatives currently in the works to further meet the academic and professional needs of our Graduate Student Community at George Mason.

Welcome Week

As the each school year begins, GAPSA will be working to spread the word to incoming Graduate students about our organization and the efforts we are currently pursuing on behalf of the Graduate Community. In addition to information booths on Prince William, Arlington, and Fairfax campuses, we usually also host a Graduate student mixer.

Academic and Social Events

Throughout the year, GAPSA strives to produce academic and social programming focused upon the needs and interests of our Graduate student body. Be on the lookout for such upcoming events as GAPSA Happy Hours, GAPSA Lecture Series events, and GAPSA Town Hall Meetings with key campus administrators. As always, GAPSA’s mission is to provide activities specifically for the benefit and enjoyment of our Graduate Community.

Looking out for Graduate Interests

In addition to the specific initiatives mentioned above, GAPSA is constantly lobbying for the interests of our Graduate community. Whether promoting the addition of Graduate space within the current library renovation plan, conversing with the Provost of Graduate Programs on the Graduate Student Travel Fund, or consulting with various administrative committees regarding Graduate student needs, GAPSA always acts as the voice of our Graduate constituency.
