Biography and Candidate Statement

As a dedicated and passionate graduate student at George Mason University, I bring three years of formal work experience to the table, complementing my academic pursuits. With a strong academic background and a proven track record of leadership and community engagement, I am confident in my ability to effectively represent and serve the needs of our diverse student body. Throughout my academic journey, I have developed a deep understanding of the complexities and challenges faced by graduate and professional students. As a student I have honed my skills in communication, problem-solving, and collaboration, which have enabled me to build strong relationships with students, faculty, and administrators. As Executive Vice President, I am committed to fostering a sense of community and inclusivity among our students, while also promoting academic excellence and professional development opportunities. My vision for the GPSA is to create a platform that empowers students to take an active role in shaping their academic and professional experiences, while also providing resources and support to help them achieve their goals. With a strong passion for student advocacy, I am dedicated to listening to the concerns and ideas of our students and working tirelessly to address them. I believe that effective leadership requires a deep understanding of the needs and perspectives of our students, and I am committed to being a voice for our student body. In this role, I would work closely with the GPSA team to identify and address key issues affecting our students, while also developing and implementing initiatives that promote student success and well-being. My goal is to ensure that every student has access to the resources and support they need to thrive academically, professionally, and personally. I possess proven leadership and community engagement experience, strong communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills, and the ability to build strong relationships with students, faculty, and administrators. My passion for student advocacy and community development drives my commitment to serving our student body. I am excited about the opportunity to serve as Executive Vice President and contribute to the growth and development of our student community.

Availability and Commitment to the Time and Expectations of the Position

I am confident in my ability to meet the time commitments and expectations of the Executive Vice President position. As a full-time graduate student, my academic schedule is comprised of classes on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This schedule allows for a considerable amount of availability on Mondays, Fridays, and other days, which I am committed to dedicating to the role. Throughout the 2025-2026 academic year, I anticipate being able to allocate a significant amount of time to fulfill the responsibilities of the position. My ongoing time commitments include attending classes and participating in academic activities on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. However, I am flexible and able to adjust my schedule as needed to accommodate the demands of the role.
