Elections

The GAPSA Executive Committee is elected from the graduate student population at George Mason University. All students in good standing at the university are eligible to run for one of the six positions on the committee.

GAPSA is holding a special election for the Director of Communications officer position for the 2016-17 year.

Interested graduate and professional students must submit a Candidacy Form by the deadline in order to be considered. The current Executive Board of GAPSA for 2016-2017 will review the applications and elect the officer. Those interested in running for the Director of Communications position can find the application packet here: GAPSA Elections Packet Director of Communications – 2016-17.

GAPSA has developed new opportunities for interested graduate and professional students to get involved and contribute to GAPSA’s mission to enrich graduate student life at Mason. GAPSA seeks motivated, creative, and collaborative Mason graduate and professional students to serve in the following positions for the 2016-17 year:

  • Director of Finance
  • Director of Interdisciplinary Conference
  • Chair of Programming – Arlington
  • Chair of Programming – Fairfax
  • Chair of Programming – Sci-Tech
  • Community Outreach and Media Committee
  • Interdisciplinary Conference Committee

Two positions were filled during GAPSA general elections in early April. Three positions were filled through a special election in late April.
